LEARNING SHOULD NOT DEPEND ON GUESSWORK

Children do not need more random questions. They need the right practice, at the right time.

KeaPrep keeps track of what has been introduced, what is becoming secure, and what is due for another look—so families do not have to build the plan themselves.

HOW IT WORKS

A learning rhythm that keeps moving forward.

KeaPrep shows what your child should practise next, brings skills back when they are due for review, and keeps their progress record up to date.

A CLEAR PATH OF GROWTH

From first exposure to confident independence.

A percentage only shows what happened once. KeaPrep's five stages show how each skill is growing—how much support your child needs, how consistently they can use it, and whether the learning lasts.

  1. Starting point
    Not started

This skill has not been practised or assessed yet.

    Ready to begin
  2. Supported
    Emerging

Beginning to understand the idea; usually needs prompts, examples or adult support.

    Learning with guidance
  3. Building
    Developing

Can use the skill in familiar questions, but accuracy and independence are still growing.

    Sometimes independent
  4. Independent
    Secure

Works independently and consistently with the skill in familiar situations.

    Consistently independent
  5. Flexible use
    Mastered

Remembers the skill over time and applies it confidently in new or more complex situations.

    Ready for new situations

Progress means needing less help and using learning in more places. KeaPrep revisits skills over time, so “Mastered” reflects lasting understanding—not one lucky result.

ONLINE + ON PAPER

FAQ

Questions families often ask.

What is KeaPrep?

KeaPrep is a family learning system that helps parents understand what their child should practise next, which skills are due for review, and how progress changes over time.

Is KeaPrep a tutoring service?

No. KeaPrep supports regular practice at home. It does not replace a teacher, tutor or professional learning assessment.

Does KeaPrep cover every subject and school year?

Not yet. KeaPrep’s core learning loop is live while we prepare and review curriculum-aligned pathways across subjects and year levels. Available content is always shown clearly inside the learning app.

How does printable practice work?

KeaPrep creates a focused student worksheet and answer sheet. After marking the worksheet, scan the QR code, enter the marked results, and confirm them before the learning plan updates.

Does KeaPrep automatically scan handwritten answers?

No. Scanning the QR code opens the relevant paper record; it does not read or mark handwriting. A parent or caregiver enters and confirms the marked results before the learning plan updates.

Is it free?

KeaPrep is free during early access. Any future paid plan will be explained clearly before it applies.

Can I share progress with a teacher or tutor?

Yes. A parent can create a limited progress snapshot and share it using a revocable link. Anyone with the link can view the limited snapshot until the parent revokes it. The snapshot is separate from the child’s main learning record and contains only a limited set of progress information.

Is KeaPrep available in Australia?

Australia is part of the future roadmap. The current focus is building deep, reliable learning aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum across subjects.
